Point Of View

We all know that life experiences have a direct impact on our point of view. It doesn’t matter what it is, whether practical, spiritual, environmental convictions … what we have been through and experienced for ourselves will give us a unique point of view on things. How do we know which view is correct?

As a Christian, I have found that what’s in the Bible is much more important than my own opinion, feelings, or reasoning. God’s Word really is the only truth we can be sure of. We can rest in the knowledge that His Word stands firm, no matter what others may think or feel about us. And no matter what we may think or feel.

Our Point Of View Matters

When people question your choices in life, consider their advice or criticism and then spend time in God’s Word. Compare your own thoughts, convictions, and those of others with what God says. Ask Him to show you His desire for your life. Whether through literal instruction from God’s Word or through the Holy Spirit speaking within you, you WILL find answers from God.

Of course, if we think the Holy Spirit is telling us something, but the Bible clearly tells us otherwise, then you must trust God’s Word as the ultimate truth. We are only human, so what we can interpret as the Holy Spirit may not be. That is why it is important to read, ponder, and store God’s Word in our hearts. What’s in the Bible is what matters!
