Matthew 23
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

Goals For Better Health
1. Whole foods.
Start with food in its original, whole forms and prepare it healthily. Examples:
- start with meat and vegetables for main meals … you can roast, grill, or saute both with salt and pepper to keep it simple. For example: beef steak and vegetable kabobs on the grill. Add a healthy carb such as whole wheat dinner rolls for the children.
- start with wheat berries, instead of processed flour, which has many nutrients removed, or store-bought bread, which has unnecessary and unhealthy ingredients. Get yourself a grain mill (I use this one) and grind the wheat into flour when you need it. It takes mere minutes. This is the BEST EASY BREAD RECIPE – I have been making it for a decade now.
- use leftover meat like turkey, chicken, meatballs, roast, etc. for sandwiches/lunches, instead of store-bought lunch meats. Throw the leftover meat over salad greens – loaded with nuts, cheeses, veggies, dried fruits, cottage cheese, hard-boiled eggs, etc. and use olive oil & raw apple cider vinegar for dressing – if you need to skip the bread for better health.
- make a big batch of hard-boiled eggs and keep them in the fridge for quick breakfasts.
- make a big pot of oatmeal and sweeten it with fruit, maple, syrup, or honey.
- make homemade breakfast sausage using fresh ground meat.
- make soups/sauces/dressings from scratch.
- eat fresh fruits & veggies daily.

2. Drink more.
- water, well or filtered.
- antioxidant drinks like green tea.
- fermented drinks like kombucha, water kefir, and milk kefir.
- smoothies as another way to get your greens and protein in.
Non-Food Goals
3. Nontoxic products.
Eliminate chemicals in household cleaners and personal care products.
- make homemade lotion or use grass-fed beef tallow.
- make homemade shampoo & face wash or use the kind I get from HERE.
- make homemade toothpaste or use what I do from HERE.
- use washable/reusable cleaning cloths backed by the antibacterial properties of silver and other non-toxic cleaning products from HERE.
- Use natural cleaning products like essential oils, vinegar, & baking soda for a super frugal option. I get my essential oils from HERE.
4. Be more active.
- walk, outside if possible.
- use these simple yet effective exercise routines that are designed for busy moms (I have been using these techniques for a decade).
- play with your kids.
Ambitious Goal for Better Health
5. Grow Food.
- herbs in little pots.
- your favorite veggies in raised beds.
- a full garden in the ground.
- orchards for fruit and nuts, etc.
