Are you wondering How To Have The Best Marriage Ever? Perhaps you are a wife reading this who is in the place I was not too long ago.
Are you feeling unhappy, annoyed at every little thing your husband does, like you don’t measure up to your husband’s expectations, angry without a true cause, insecure, lost, unsure of what God expects from you as a wife, sad, alone in your marriage, confused, hurt, searching for God’s Way for you, your husband, and your marriage? I was you for the first several years of my marriage!
Turn to the scripture and trust His Word.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
1 Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Romans 6:3-14 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Wives, He is talking to us. Will you listen??

How To Have The Best Marriage Ever
Don’t listen to what everyone tells you a marriage is supposed to look like, what a husband should do or how he should treat you. I’m sorry, but most of the time… “everyone” is wrong. Don’t let them encourage selfishness in you.
Are not we, as Christians, supposed to serve others above ourselves?? As followers of Jesus Christ, aren’t we to make sacrifices of ourselves?? Why then, when it comes to marriage and being a wife/woman, we are told to do what makes us happy, and to leave our husbands if we are not made happy by them and our circumstances??
It is okay, and right, to obey your husband.
It is okay, and right, to submit to and serve your husband.
This applies whether you think your husband is a believer or not (see above, 1 Peter 3, also 1 Corinthians 7:14 “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.”).
There is great worth in being a godly wife (see Proverbs 31).
Please, do not believe the world’s lies. If God has called you to be a wife (and if you are a wife, He has!), then strive to be the wife He instructs you to be.
You will need Him every second, you will need His grace every day. Alone you will fail miserably, but with Him, you will succeed (I think that applies to everything in life).
A happy marriage is possible. The best marriage ever is possible!
It starts with Him. It’s between you & God… will you endeavor to obey His Word or not?
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time…
I must add, from my own experience, when a wife submits to her husband and “gives” him the power (though, it’s not ours to give in the first place), his love for her will grow! It may take time and he will need to see that she is sincere and that he can trust her with his heart. God promises that he will become the man and husband God intends for him to be.
My marriage is a testimony of God’s grace. Wives, do not give up hope.
God can save your marriage if you’d only obey Him. There are blessings in obedience.
We do not obey to be saved, we obey because we are saved. He promises blessings for those who strive to keep His commandments. (Deuteronomy 28)
Mark 10:27 …with God all things are possible.
REV’ERENCE, [L. reverentia.] v.t. To regard with reverence; to regard with fear mingled with respect and affection.
