Top Gift Picks For The Homemaker

I recently ordered a new essential oil diffuser for myself. I wanted one that kept the essential oils in their purest form and did not use water to humidify the air (since my son has asthma and dry air is better for him). I found this one and love it! Diffusing essential oils makes the home smell wonderful, and it creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere!

Another item my husband told me to order for myself and our family is the new Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook. Even if you do not follow their eating plan exactly, this cookbook is an excellent addition to the kitchen library! Full-colored photos of the recipes are a really nice feature of this cookbook. I just got it in the mail yesterday, and I have loved looking through it. There are more than 350 recipes to choose from, so there are sure to be ones your family will love. I made the Strawberry muffin in a mug this morning for my breakfast, and I LOVED it. It tasted like strawberries & cream oatmeal, which is YUM!

The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner is absolutely beautiful! If you need to be more organized in your home, then this is for you! If you are already an organized planner, then this is for you! Its size (5.5″ x 8.5″) is perfect for me! I love that it is big enough to get the job done but small enough to easily carry or put into a tote. I LOVE the shopping lists that are perforated so that I can quickly tear them out to take to the store!

We love these Duralex glass tumblers. These are French-made and considered to be the most durable glass. It holds up to use by children, which is a huge plus! I love the vintage-style blue color (they sell clear and amber-colored, too). I also have these deeper and more round/compact bowls from Duralex.

This next item is one that was gifted to us a few years ago and has been used EVERY day since! It has held up well and has been so very loved in our household. You see, we make hard-boiled eggs every evening to be eaten the next day for breakfast/lunch for easy no-prep meals. However, the eggs were such a pain to peel. Enter this amazing small appliance: the toaster with egg steamer! Since using this kitchen gadget, our eggs have been easy to peel 95% of the time (not an official stat). If you make hard-boiled eggs even once a month, you need this, because being frustrated over peeling hard-boiled eggs shouldn’t have to happen! (skip these and get the Instant Pot instead! We have since replaced our slow cooker and egg steamer with this one and use it EVERY single day!)

Of course, one of the most important parts of a homemaker’s day is getting a cup of coffee in her! The single-serve Keurig is a great option. You can use it for so much more than coffee. You can use it for on-demand hot water for tea and even for making soups and oatmeal! It is perfect for the large family because everyone can customize their coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or bowl of whatever! It is also perfect for a single person or a small family that doesn’t need a big pot of coffee.

These coloring books for adults are all the rage right now, and I think that they would be quite relaxing. I used to color before having kids, so I know that it can be a stress reliever. There is something about mindlessly coloring a beautiful pattern that takes our minds off the stress of being an adult. Don’t forget the colored pencils!

Art journaling is more my style, and I think that a blank spiral-bound notebook with heavy-duty paper paired with a set of ultra-fine tip Sharpies would be an amazing gift! This art journal kit looks like it would get the creative juices flowing. And the Sharpies are easy to find. The more colors, the better! What a fun way to record the happenings, events, praise, and prayers of your family! What a beautiful keepsake it would make to pass down to your children.

A Kindle would be a great gift for a homemaker. You can download cookbooks, how-to books, and just-for-fun books, and not bring any more clutter into the home! I am slowly starting to see the benefits of eBooks versus print books, though I doubt I will ever completely give up my books! However, if you want to get books for cheap (or free) and not have to worry about not having room on the bookshelf, the Kindle makes perfect sense!
