Here are the resources we are using to study the solar system & space in the upcoming school year. These will be used with my children ages 9-14, to some extent, with the focus being on my 10 and 11-year-old children.
This makes a great space and solar system unit study for science, especially for elementary levels, but some items will work for younger/older children. You can work through them as quickly or slowly as you’d like; as a stand-alone curriculum or a supplement to a science textbook.
With all of the different activities, including word searches and painting, you are covering more than science. Art, language arts, and more are part of the unit study, too!

I am going to have these resources be free-range for my children. Meaning, I will let them have full access to any of them to read, use, and study as they want to.
I find that providing my children with these fun books and activities to browse lets them enjoy the learning process more than if I created a strict schedule to work through the resources. My children will learn about the solar system and space on their own while having fun!
However you plan to study the solar system and space, I hope these resources are helpful. I know you can definitely use them in a more structured atmosphere and still make it fun!
