Passing on the Faith to Future Generations is one of the top responsibilities that parents have. I believe the best way to do that is by homeschooling, but no matter what – that responsibility falls on parents.
Generations has resources for homeschooling and discipling children. I have loved the products from them and am excited to share what I like best about them with you.
If you want to read more about passing practical life skills on to the next generation, then you can read an article I wrote on the topic HERE.

Passing on the Faith to Future Generations
Using the Bible, history books, and other resources we can (and should) teach our children the faith of our fathers so that they can learn by example the importance of building on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ and God’s Word. We must live out our faith for our children to see in order to leave behind a godly heritage.
- Studying the Bible in-depth, putting on the full armor of God, and being ready to give an answer to our own flesh, the world, and the devil is a top priority.
- Reading historically accurate stories of martyrs of the faith will encourage and equip us and the next generation to stand strong in the face of persecution.
- Understanding our nation’s rise (and fall) will prepare us and our children for the fight for biblical liberty, no matter the political climate.
- Teaching all subjects from the perspective of biblical truth will develop the correct worldview in our family.
- Focusing on the heart of our relationship with each other and the Lord will be vital in discipling our children.
- Spending time on our knees in prayer will be our source of strength as we endeavor to serve the Lord in our parenting.
Generations helps parents do all of the above and more. Their resources are biblically solid.
They have Christian homeschool curriculum textbooks as well as general family discipleship and outreach resources. From family read-aloud books to personal Bible studies, you will find something to encourage and equip you and your family!
My eldest son read Epoch, One With Everything, and some of the G.A. Henty books during his senior year of homeschooling. We watched Free Burma Rangers and Return to New Haven DVDs that we ordered from them.
My son said that Epoch was very interesting but somewhat sad. It was eye-opening.
We really enjoyed Free Burma Rangers. It was very encouraging!
We have a stack of books from Generations that I am slowly reading out loud to my children. These include The Swiss Family Robinson, The Cross Triumphant, Stepping Heavenward, Captive, Mary Jones and Her Bible, The Life of Henry Martyn, Sunshine Country, Heidi, The Giant Killer, The Princess Bellaheld, Titus, Star of Light, Adventures of Missionary Heroism, Treasures of the Snow, and Through the Gates of Splendor.
Please note: not every title listed above is available at the time of this article.
