Are you an angry mom? Do you want to learn how to manage your anger? Do you need to gain self-control over your emotions as a parent?
The reality is that anger is part of life and all humans have that emotion, but how we react and express anger is important. We do NOT want to hurt others, especially our children and husband when we are angry.
Help For The Angry Mom
Please read the Scriptures with a prayer upon your heart that the Holy Spirit will give you the wisdom and strength you need to overcome anger!
Proverbs 25:28 – He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
Psalms 37:8 – Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
Proverbs 14:29 – He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
James 1:20 – For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Ephesians 4:26 – Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
James 1:19 – Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Proverbs 15:1 – A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Ephesians 4:31 – Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Ecclesiastes 7:9 – Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
James 1:19-20 – Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Proverbs 16:32 – He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Proverbs 15:18 – A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but [he that is] slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Colossians 3:8 – But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Isaiah 26:3 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Wow, that is a lot to take in! It is pretty obvious that God doesn’t want us to be in a blind rage of anger. As with all things, the ultimate answer to overcoming our lack of self-control is by going to the Word and our Lord for help. Bible-based resources can also be a tremendous blessing!
