How I Teach Bible & Art Together
- The kids all get a blank paper,
- Lots of coloring pencils or crayons are made available,
- They color their hearts out while I read the Bible text.
- It really is that simple.
To bring some structure to your Bible & Art class, you can start at the beginning of the Bible with the story of Creation and plan to move forward through the Bible, reading about the more prominent people/events that took place. When Christmas season or Ressurection Day is coming up, focus on those chapters in the Bible.
Of course, this also counts as History, too. Three subjects in one are even better!

- make a picture “book” (folder) using the kids’ art, one for each child.
- get involved and draw with your children.
They are going to be great masterpieces & beautiful keepsakes for years to come! It makes so much sense to do Bible & art together because it helps the children to stay quiet while I read the verses and it lets them absorb the scriptures more.
We are all having fun with it! I love to see how the children interpret the Bible story!

That's awesome! When my kids were little that would have been lots of fun! Last year during Christmas we read the " Christmas Story" from the Bible and each one of my kids drew a scene from it and we made it into a book that I will take out each Christmas 🙂 So I guess even though they are older we can still do it 🙂

I've casually done this with my kids to off and on through the years. I love it too! SO neat to see how much they really DO grasp God's word!!
