When the sun starts shining, the rain gives us a break, and temps hit 50 here in the Pacific Northwest, I start using my favorite essential oils for spring! Something about windows open and fresh air that makes me want to diffuse all of the oils and clean the house of stale winter air.
Most of my essential oils are from HERE. They are non-MLM, high-quality, and affordable oils that I have been using for several years.
I have a FREE printable pack with my favorite springtime essential oils diffuser blends & an extra page for you to keep your own recipes! Scroll down to get the free download.

Best Essential Oils for Spring
Myrtle – the first EO I think of When I think of spring is Myrtle. It is refreshing and just smells like spring. I like to diffuse it alone or with lemon for a very uplifting scent or sandalwood for a true spring scent of trees in the rain & mud.
- Benefits: gentle for use around children, skincare, deodorizing, soothes muscles.
Lemon – this is the most revitalizing scent to me. It clears my mind, freshens my senses, and just smells delicious! I love it alone best.
- Benefits: increases concentration, neutralizes odors, uplifts mood, household cleaner, may act as an air purifier.
Lavender – floral scents are not my favorite, but lavender is one I can handle. Its hint of wildflowers in a field is reminiscent of my childhood on the farm and ranch (a Lilac or true wildflower mixed EO would be awesome, but I haven’t found any). It can be paired with a variety of other EOs like frankincense, citruses, vanilla, etc.
- Benefits: all-in-one type of EO, typically safe for children, stress relief, insect control, hair care, sleep-aid.
Sandalwood – this is one of my newest favorite essential oils for spring. It pairs well with rosewood, spruce, frankincense, and chamomile essential oils. It’s an earthy scent and reminds me of the soil after a fresh spring rain.
- Benefits: calming, sleep-aid, skincare, eases tension in mind and body.
Rosewood – another floral-based essential oil that is light & forgiving to my highly sensitive senses. Pairs well with woodsy scents like spruce, pine, cedarwood, etc. Reminds me of a walk through our forest!
- Benefits: skincare, deodorizer, calming, haircare.
Other Essential Oils For Spring:
Choose floral, citrus, and earth tones to bring spring into your home. Think about your favorite spring scents and choose oils that make you feel refreshed, uplifted, and peaceful – like a refreshing rain shower, the sunshine after the rain, and a rainbow gracing the sky overhead!

While I mostly use these in the diffuser, they may be used in other ways.
- I like to use lemon in hot water for scrubbing my floors with my reusable/washable mop pad.
- Rosewood, sandalwood, and lavender are all great in a massage oil or bath for relaxation or muscle relief.
- I use lavender in a carrier oil for topical application for earaches, toothaches, headaches, etc. (applied outside of the body, on the skin around these areas).
- All of them can be added to DIY deodorizers.
I love that I can order my essential oils from Rocky Mountain Oils and Beeyoutiful while ordering other health supplements, vitamins, and skincare products. To be specific – you’ll want to add the facial cleanser + moisturizer (RMO) and elderberry syrup + probiotics (Beeyoutiful) to your cart to get the most health benefits possible from each shipment!
