I am an

• (unashamed) follower of Jesus Christ; For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God… Eph.2:8
• (old-fashioned) housewife/homemaker since 2002; my husband is my best friend
• (eclectic/relaxed) homeschool mom; I had my 8 children from 2005-2014
• (grieving) mom of 2 children in Heaven; looking forward to the Reunion Day
• (simple) old-world farm girl; raised on a small raspberry farm, I am a rural-girl to my core

I love

• seeing how God works in our lives (spiritual growth)
• at-home date nights with my husband (every night)
• learning as I teach my kids (through a lifestyle of learning)
• down-to-earth-real mamas (you!)
• a good “super” coffee (THM-S)
• books (especially the ones I read out loud to my kids)
• writing (books, articles, newsletters, etc.)

We live

• in a small 1965 “cottage” (1000 sqft.)
• on 1 acre (micro farm)
• 2 minutes from a rural community (pop.2k)
• 22 minutes from a major city (pop.20k)
• in the Pacific Northwest, USA

I am blessed beyond comprehension, but life is not how I dreamed it would be!

• I lost my mom to cancer when I was 21 (after 4 years terminally ill)
• Our 5th child died 88 minutes after his birth in 2011 (rare disease)
• I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2012 (in remission)
• Our eldest daughter passed away in 2021 at 14 years old (rare disease)
• Our youngest son is terminally ill (rare disease; I am his full-time caregiver)

Through it all

• I have been led to the feet of Jesus, where He has faithfully reminded me of my blessings & wiped away my tears, brought joy & purpose to my life, & given me new strength to stand… over & over again.
