Biblical word study devotions have been my favorite way to study the Bible for many years now. I love to study words while studying The Word.
A new word to study is released each month. Sign up for the current month, or a past month, below!
I know that New Year Resolutions and choosing One Word to focus on in the coming year are popular. I used to do both and enjoyed the challenge – but why not combine the two?!
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
What if our New Year Resolution and One Word focus were replaced with the Resolve to spend more time in The Word?
What if this year’s self-care goals were replaced with prayer, praise, thanksgiving, and sacrifice?
What might it do for our heart, attitude, home, and the world?
What if we prayed instead of gossiped?
What if we praised instead of grumbled?
What if we were thankful instead of bitter?
What if we served others instead of ourselves?
What if we loved God with all of our being?
What if loving our neighbor was a result of all of the above?
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Luke 10:27

A Year Of Biblical Word Study Devotions
I am excited to introduce you to a NEW series that I am working on – A Year Of Biblical Word Study Devotions. Every month there will be a different word with many relevant scriptures to get us reading God’s Word every day.
Each biblical word study devotion printable pack (you can get it below) will include the month’s focus word & definition, scripture, additional Bible texts that support the monthly focus, and space for writing your own copywork, notes, prayer & praise, and other words/scripture to study.

In just a few minutes daily, you will:
- read scripture
- study the definition of the focus word
- be prompted to journal your thoughts, prayers, and praise
- (and my hope is) be inspired to dig deeper and spend more time in God’s Word using the list of supporting Bible texts
- while this study can be done in just one hour-long session, I hope that you will use it as the foundation of a deeper study throughout the month.
- I suggest studying the focus word, definition, and key text one day and supporting texts each day going forward – following the Holy Spirit’s lead.
I use Noah Webster’s 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language since it seems to more accurately define biblical words. I use the KJV Bible for quoted scripture.
I will add the newest monthly biblical word study devotion below as it becomes available, so come back often to check for the newest biblical word study devotions or simply sign up for the newsletter and be notified each month. These biblical word study devotions can be started any time and done in any order, so if you come back and there are a few more options, just choose what you need right now!
January 2021 Biblical word study devotions: RENEW
After a year like 2020, we all need to renew ourselves – spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Spend the month of January studying the word RENEW and the many relevant scriptures to grasp what it really means to be made new in Christ.
February 2021 Biblical word study devotions: ENDURE
Winter is a good time to study the word Endure. Just like the barren tree must endure the cold weather so that they can be strengthened for when they bloom and bear fruit, we must endure life’s hardships – trusting that the Lord has something beautiful & good in store for us – only after our faith in HIM has been strengthened and readied for the journey!
March 2021 Biblical word study devotions: PEACE
No matter what happens, we can have peace if we know Jesus. Peace is not something based on our circumstances or surroundings – in fact, the very definition of it reveals just how peace sets us free from depending on anyone or thing outside of Jesus!
April – Longsuffering
May – Gentleness
June – Goodness
July – Faith
August – Meekness
September – Temperance / Moderation
October – Love
November – Praise
December – Joy
So excited to start this with you!!
